Edition 14/15 and 15/15 plus four artist proofs hand printed on Somerset Satin 250g paper using a small relief press. Print size 264 x 180mm. Due to the nature of the printmaking process minor variations can occur between prints, making each one a truly unique piece of artwork. Please look closely at associated photographs before placing your order.

Whenever I visit Cromer there always seems to be at least one cormorant hanging around on this ‘fishing perch’, though I believe channel marker is the correct term. However,  on this misty September morning, as the sun was trying to break through, these three kept me entertained for ages.

These are from an original reduction linocut of an edition of 15. The reduction method (my favourite technique) uses a single piece of lino to produce a multi-coloured print. The lino is gradually cut away as each layer is printed and the image emerges. Sometimes, only a very small printable area remains for the final, darkest tone. As the block is essentially destroyed during the process, a reduction print can never be reprinted.
