Original reduction linocut, limited edition of 6. Size 235 x 175mm
Koniks are small primitive horses originating in Poland. I’ve often seen these ones when I’ve been walking on Redgrave and Lopham Fen. They were introduced to graze the fen and help reduce invasive scrub vegetation. On one particular sunny November morning the pale orange sunlight created an almost halo effect around them, which is what I have tried to capture in this print. https://www.suffolkwildlifetrust.org/redgrave
