I’ve cycled past this tree on many occasions, but never paid it much attention. One February afternoon my eye was drawn to a buzzard overhead. It then landed in the tree, but before I possibly had time to get out my camera if flew away across the road in front of me. The sun behind the tree created a delightful image which I was very eager to capture in a lino cut.

There are three different versions of this print available, with slightly varying skies. The sky is created from one piece of lino using the reduction technique, with the tree, buzzard and grass from three separate lino plates.

Original reduction linocut, variable edition of 15. Print size 265 x 180mm. Hand printed on Somerset Satin 250g paper using a small relief press. Due to the nature of the printmaking process minor variations can occur between prints, making each one a truly unique piece of artwork.

Each print is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, mounted in a neutral colour and sealed in cellophane to keep it clean. The mounted work will fit into a standard 12 x 16″ frame. The artwork will be packaged in a sturdy cardboard envelope and shipped by tracked mail.
