Description

This print was inspired by an early morning walk on Sea Palling beach. The sun was sparkling on the sea and there was no one in sight. If you know the beach there you can see I’ve used a bit of artistic licence, but it was still perfect.

This six-layer original reduction linocut is from a limited edition of 18. Print size 265mm x 175mm. The reduction method (my favourite technique) uses a single piece of lino to produce a multi-coloured print.  As the block is essentially destroyed during the process, a reduction print can never be reprinted. Hand printed on Somerset Satin 250g paper using a small relief press.  Due to the nature of the printmaking process minor variations can occur between prints, making each one a truly unique piece of artwork.

Each print is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, mounted in a neutral colour and sealed in cellophane to keep it clean. The mounted work will fit into a standard 12 x 16″ frame. The artwork will be packaged in a sturdy cardboard envelope and shipped by tracked mail.
