Description

I’m always captivated by swans and love taking photos of them. They’re so tranquil and graceful on water, yet rather clumsy on take off and landing and of course they create great reflections in water. This print was inspired by one I came across gliding down the Little Ouse at one of my favourite dog walking spots, Knettishall  Heath.

This original reduction linocut is from a limited edition of 20. The reduction method (my favourite technique) uses a single piece of lino to produce a multi-coloured print. As the block is essentially destroyed during the process, a reduction print can never be reprinted.

Print size 203 x 152mm. Hand printed on Somerset satin 250g paper using a small relief press. Due to the nature of the printmaking process minor variations can occur between prints, making each one a truly unique piece of artwork. Each print is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom and mounted in a neutral colour to fit a standard 10 x 12″ frame.  The artwork will be shipped flat protected by strong cardboard packaging and sent by tracked mail.
